Welcome from the Oxford Twins Plus Facilitator

Hi, my name's Jo and I have non-identical twin girls who are providing the family with hours of amusement with their antics and interaction. So fear not, whilst there is no denying that managing multiples has its moments, it’s an incredible experience!

I currently facilitate this group and we’d love you to join us at meetings and events, but should you not find what you need on the website or if getting out of the house for 10am seem too daunting we can always link you up with other parents local to you or answer your queries via email.

I spent the first five months of the girls' life hanging out with people who had only ever experienced having one baby at a time, so I felt a huge sense of relief and empathy when I finally made it to my first Oxford Twins Plus meeting. I really wished I'd made the effort earlier when I needed the support most, but I still came home from that meeting having made new friends, found local twins the same age and having bought 4 second-hand high chairs (2 for the grandparents)!

Our meetings are informal and at each one a new face appears, so don’t be shy. Expectant parents are also most welcome! About 170 sets of twins or more were born at The John Radcliffe in 2010, so you can be sure that you are not alone in Oxfordshire!

Being a parent of multiples is amazing - come and share in the fun!

Regards,
Jo

Parents can phone in with any issues that are troubling them. This could include sleeping, feeding, crying, behaviour, discipline, school issues or special needs. Often all the caller needs is five minutes breathing space, a chat or a listening ear from someone who can identify with their situation.

Twinline is open everyday from 10am to 1pm and from 7pm to 10pm on: 0800 138 0509 (freephone)
